Swift parts (lots of photo's)
Hi all ive just broken a 1989 Suzuki Swift GTI. Haylingmini and Atchi have suggested that i see if anyone is interested in the parts i have. I'm not too sure how much any of these parts are worth so most are open to offers.
I would really prefer collection from Leeds but could deliver myself for milage around the west yorkshire area. If you want to arrange a courier i can box/pallet it up for you.
rear dampers
complete dash with dials

(offers)
doors with tinted glass and door cards

PROVISIONALLY SOLD
full set of seat belts

(offers)
Pair of door mirrors

(offers)
Ive tried to describe the items as best i can.

I see Mk2 parts but you say its from an 89, what generation was the car, square boxy mk1 shape or Mk2 more rounded version. if its Mk2 Im a lot more interested, in the brakes and wheels etc

It was an Mot failure sills are non existant under the side skirts boot floor had gone through as was the closing panel around the boot. Its also had a rear shunt at some point in its life which was repaired very good.
Lots of work to put back on the road....too many other things to do as well

EDIT :
I say blood, I wish these Mini folk would stop parting my beloved Suzuki Swifts, especially for some Austin/Rover rubbish.

Unfortunately the best part of a GTI is the engine, the body has a tendency to disintegrate, I am a lover of both the Classic Mini & the GTI. I have 2 Classic Mini's with GTI engines, I also have a Justy which will shortly have a GTI Turbo engine. My son has a Justy with a GTI engine, at least the parts are being put to good use. Also by doing what Paul has done it will keep several other GTI's from the knackers yard. The GTI is a classic that does not have a huge following compared to the Escort for example. So buying certain parts new is just not possible or too expensive. Whilst I agree its disappointing to see GTI's being scrapped, at least all the parts are being put to good use.

Not realy I feel so bad about all the used GTI engines I have bought I think I should have gone to the scrap yard to see if I could have found a few Swifts to put the engines in
