Re: CUTS OUT WHEN I REMOVE DIP STICK
to start off with why would you want to? cant say iv ever thought about doing that
if its workin fine with it in, keep it in
there is a pipe in the centre of the cam cover to the inlet mani
there is a valve on there called pcv (i think)
its a 1way valve suposed to relive cirten amount of pressure built up in the engine when its running
i guess when you take out the dip its loosing to much pressure
but thats just a guess
gary

Re: CUTS OUT WHEN I REMOVE DIP STICK
That pipe ur on about in the middle of the cam cover if i pinch that with my fingers it cuts out aswell? is that normal? and i tink i know what valve ur on about but there wasnt 1 on the new mani or the holes 2 fit 1 so i left it off
i dunno if its a problem its just i know ive ad it running with the cap off b4 an now it dosent. i just heard this weird noise and started looking in the engine bay and thats when i noticed it. the noise is my air filter working twice as hard now cuz of the sr20 or maybe a lil leak in the plastic bit the air filter goes on 2. i just dont want 2 be a few weks dwn the line sumthing breaks and i find out i could of avoided it if i had got on 2 the problem straight away.
cheers n e way m8 super helpfull as always.
