Hi,

Can you see any water leaking out of it when it is hot?
You can use JB welds to glue it in. In USA, they use it to repair BIG diesel engines and I have used many times.
I have used it to repair my Mini cast engine with it. All you need to do is to clean crack and grind v into it then fill it with JB weld mix. It will take over night to cure but once it is cured, you can machine, grind it even cut tap with it!.

Hi,

My concerns will be the number stamps on a engine, if you use a new block.
I think all of journals are made with torelances and they are all stamped on the block. Also, your new block might have wear on bores so I'm not sure you can use what you have. For a loger life of rebuild engine, I would buy all bearing shells and do it again. Pain, I know but....

If you need any block, you can get one from Justy boys who putting in G13B as all of G13A/B are same block.

Hi,

What I mean is for crank journals. There are stamps with the size of shells you should use.
I hope I just have been picky! I think I have a spare block but if you can get one from local, I think that will be better for you. As I will be off radar soon with a birth of a new born.

Cheers

If you get a new block you will need to rebore it and get new piston rings. You can just swap the crank over and use the same big end and main shells. done it loads of times.
