Welcome to a new challenge for your Suzuki

The Suzuki Sprint Series has been formed out of obsession for Suzuki cars and motor sport by Adrian Smith and Colin Jebson who share the same passion. By teaming up with track day expert’s Javelin, a professional team has been formed to bring you the enthusiast an alternative motor sport experience.

The Suzuki Sprint Series is designed to be an affordable first step into motor sport for Suzuki enthusiasts. It will be designed to be as safe as possible, whilst providing excitement and challenge for drivers of all levels.

Venues will be chosen for their safety and track layouts designed to test both car & driver ability. All competitive runs will be against the clock only.

The series has been designed for people bored with road, drag or track day driving and those who seek a fun and competitive day’s motor sport, with like minded enthusiasts.

It is open to all Suzuki cars old and new, and all drivers irrespective of experience will be made welcome.

The sprint series is helping to build a new community of driving enthusiasts linking all the Suzuki Clubs & Tuners together as well as helping those that want to progress in to the magical world of motor sport at an affordable price.

Dates and venues will be announced shortly after Autosport Show in early January.

Entries are limited and will be on a first come first served basis.

Further information will follow shortly

The Suzuki Sprint Series is sponsored by

Blitz
Fensport
Javelin

Points System: Registered Competitors Only.

A 25 point bonus will be added to each competitors score as long as they record a "time" on 5 rounds.(please note it is not a sign on bonus).

A 1 point bonus will be added at each sign on, up to a maximum of 5 rounds.

So total bonus points available is 30

Leading on to the main points system

Fastest overall 75 points, 2nd overall 74 points etc etc.

This way everyone who competes scores points.

This system benefits everyone except class S1, as there is the real possibility to “steal points” from other classes.
E.g. a class S3 car beats a class S2 etc.

It also encourages reliability over outright power.

It also gives an overall position for everyone at the end of the year; again this will be a benefit to the lower capacity classes, or maybe an embarrassment to the higher capacity classes?

Points are to be awarded to the driver and not the car.

Car can be changed throughout the season, bonus points will still be awarded.

Car can be upgraded through the season to a higher class, driver will retain all points scored and bonus points.

If a car is downgraded then initial points score is frozen and driver starts afresh. Bonus points are shared.

G-47, Results are final after 15 minutes, unless a protest is lodged in writing with an event steward.

Track:
G-50, If any senior experienced participant should object to the condition or suitability of the course at least 30 minutes prior to the start of a competitive run then the course should be modified or the event postponed. An appeal may be lodged with the Championship Organisers no later than 48 hours after the event. The Appeal must be made in writing and be accompanied by a fee of £100. Appeals will be adjudicated upon by the IOPD who will remain impartial. If the Appeal is found to be justified then the appeal fee will be refunded. Otherwise it will be used to cover Appeal Hearing costs and any balance will be used to benefit the Championship

The 2012 championship consists of 6 rounds. To enter the Championship a non returnable registration deposit of £120 is required. This registration is a deposit of £20 and will count towards your entry fee.
Each round will cost £120 less your £20 registration deposit.
You are welcome to complete all 6 rounds but only your best 5 scores will count, which allows you to drop your worst score.

Reserve Entries:
Reserve Entries are ideal for people to try out the series but who are not wishing to compete in the whole championship. The cost is £120 per round and you do not count for championship points.
