Dont see why not, thats a good idea, basicly turning a female to a male, it will have to be the rh thread, I dont think they do lh studing
I was gona say to get the longer one but you will need to lock off the stud and the female so thats 3 nuts per arm plus the length of the female, overall at a guess is a good couple of inches, depends how thick the nuts are but you cqn make up the length with the stud
When you adjust it make sure they loosen the lock nut on the turn buckle side, not the female side
