CAR FOR SALE Empty CAR FOR SALE

Post  spikeybrummy on 08/09/13, 07:17 pm

I have for sale my 1996 Swift 1.3 GLS, which I originally bought with all intentions of it being the base for a full GTI conversion. However, due to family circumstances, I no longer have the time or the money to see this project through.

It currently has GTI bodywork, but the engine (G13BA) and interior are completely standard. I have used the car as my daily commuter for the last couple of years and it has never let me down, regardless of the weather (frost, ice, snow, etc), however I no longer have to drive to get to work, so the car is now only being used occasionally as second family runabout.

The bonnet vents are purely cosmetic and can be easily removed leaving no permanent damage.

The car is listed on other websites, so may sell outside of this forum, however I would feel happier knowing it could go to a Swift enthusiast within this forum, who may be intending to carry on the GTI conversion.

I am looking for £750, but will consider offers not too far off this mark.

Please see below for further details and photos (link provided at bottom of message):

1996 Suzuki Swift 1.3 GLS
Taxed to Oct '13 and MOT to March '14
Loads of receipts and past MOT's
87K Miles Low Mileage for age of car
(Mileage may increase slightly due to car currently being used as second family runabout)

Good Points:
Excellent runner, starts first time - every time
Sills welded at last MOT
Recent Clutch
Recent front suspension arms
Rear brake lines replaced
Good tyres
Low Mileage
Clean, tidy interior - no rips or tears
Cheap to tax and insure
GTI Bodywork
"Smith's Racing" Alloy wheels
"Ministry of Sound" face-off stereo with SD card reader and USB port
Two original keys
Workshop Manual

Not so good points:
Flakey paint from past respray (pictured)
Slight rust over rear n/side wheel arch (pictured)
Slight crack to front bumper o/side corner (pictured)
Passenger side interior door handle works but has loose hinge
Two small chips in passenger side of windscreen (one sealed, one not done) - Both of these chips have gone through MOT's with no question (pictured)
