2nd gear issues Empty 2nd gear issues

Had the clutch changed on swift about 20 miles ago , it was slipping before it was changed but no issues with the box, no it's been changed its catches/ going into 2nd when under load, doesn't when car is driven slowly though, any ideas cheapest way to
Fix this , thinking some thicker oil than the standard spec an maybe some kind of molyslip product , do have a spare box where it pops out of third but can't afford a full  box refurb at the
Min , thinkin clutch cable may be crap aswell as it was seized a little bit around the rubber parts, had to grip it with pliers when adjusting clutch bite point, changed it with one of my
Other ones but not sure now ,any ideas from anyone ?

Hi,

drain half of oil and fill in ATS into it.

What's that an what will it do? And how much will I need ? Can't remember what the amount of oil is for the gbox  , il put fresh gbox oil in aswell and is there a specific one I need ? No molyslip either ?

ATF is what you need.
You will need half of what you supposed to add.

Automatic transmission fluid.
You can buy 1litre and fill that in. I did this trick to my gearbox after I changed to a new fluid and not getting gears with out cranch!

If its crunching in second then its sound like the sincros have gone ATF fluid is a bit thin as this is for Automatic transmissions don't think a mollyslip type oil will sort it 75/80 is the correct viscosity,

To fill up the gearbox jack up the car level and top up from the filler plug on the diff housing until the oil drips out

These boxes are easy to rebuild though Smile
