im selling the complete air side of things its myth that you need to modify the fuel rail its just a cheap way of getting more fuel. with aftermarket managment it isent needed but then if you want different injectors it may be needed so many different variables to take into account

have the manifold bored out to 60mm, the best size for the throttle body on NA is 49mm, same as the bored MAF

Im currently looking for a bored Throttle body also, let me know if you have any luck

no you dont need to touch the fuel rail. Ive also been looking at the suzukird one, but ive never heard anything good said about them. What i really want is a stock TB thats been bored and modified. Suzitech sell these but i haven't contacted them yet on price as the price listed is an exchange price which is no good for me

increase the small hole the same percentage as the big hole, thats the theory anyway
the only way you will get it spot-on is if you use a standalone ecu, but if your goin that far then you might aswell go for itb`s

i have a 55mm srd tb , i got it when they 1st opend, its just a std tb bored to 55 with a new brass butterfly

WANTED: MAF Meter Empty Throttle body

Post  Trueroider on 09/02/10, 09:01 pm

Does your 55mm throttle body have any i'll affects on lower RPM's.
So if i can find another throttle body at a scrappy with a larger butterfly i could technicaly bore mine out 2 that and just change the butterfly? seem's like a cheaper method, or maby a disaster waiting 2 happn perhaps?

Post  Miniswift on 10/02/10, 09:06 am

Hi,

So you are boring out TB. Will it not reduce air velocity inside to reduce low down torque?
Have you driven Swift with over size TB? I'm just curious.
I just want to know what you are trying to acheive. Bigger bore is for the top end power.
If you are in circuit/sprint, you will use it often but in street/road.... do you get much benefit?

I will rather save my money up and fit better camshafts!
Oh by the way, I'm building ITBs setup using BMW bike ITBs for turbo charged engine.
For my NA, I got quad carbs from R1 so it is smaller bore that what you boys are talking about.

Cheers
Atchi
