srd manifold doesnt seem to fit?????
hello
i bought this header off someone ages ago
http://suzukird1.netfirms.com/62pro/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=9&products_id=183&osCsid=86864799b3c3d625577928d53f48ed8a
all it came with was the following
https://i.servimg.com/u/f18/14/28/89/65/dsc00510.jpg
i tried to install this header and when it sits flush against the exhaust ports on the head it seems to catch around the bottom off my sump
my car is a suzuki swift gti mk2 phase 1 which is what this manifold supposibly fits
it doesnt match up to the scorpion stainless but that can be sorted out through cuttin and welding
is there some sort of add on adaption at the exhaust ports side off it????????
surely it doesnt sit with it catching
i have attached some photos which may help you understand me

Re: srd manifold doesnt seem to fit?????
Hey Mate, I can not really see in the pic where its hitting?. Is it the bracket that sits between the GB and engine?.
As with a lot of item you buy on the net they need some modification. You may need to extend the runners.
Maybe your running the bigger MK1 GTi sump?.
I would suggest sending suzikird a message asking why it hits...
Cheers
Andy

bruce aka hamgar had the same problem, he ended up using the plate from the mani he was replacing as a spacer
but thats srd for you
the only parts im still using that i got from them are rear anti roll bar and the intake, and even then i had to weld on the breather pipes

wot do you mean by a plate from the mani?????
dont really wanna chop my other mani up to be honset lol
the sump is the standard one from a phase 1 mk 2
i reckon if i took the gasket somewhere i could get a spacer made cos its got everything i need apart from thickness
wot should it get made out off
the cheapest material i need lol?????
ive sent srd an email wiv pics but they havnt got back to methat was about 4 days ago i sent that

Hi,
If you want spacer... as in flange, let me know.
I got 2 or 3 in mild steel as well as stainless steel.
You can have them for £40 inclusive of p+p.... I need money for my mini project!
Cheers

Hi,
It is just a metal plate either in 10mm mild steel or 8mm Stainless steel which are cut to gasket profile using laser cutter.
You can see in below.

Perhaps, you can use it as spacer to bring your manifold out by 8 or 10mm.
Cheers
