You will love it, it will be such an improvement over you 1.0!, I have had some great cars so far, but my swift was always one of my favourites, its just time to move on.

i think i can handle the 100bhp motor! i have driven a Lambo couple of years baack at 6th gear experience near york!
Running in will be hard for me i think. also i am not that confident in my engine building skills! I rebuilt the whole engine myself with little guidance... will see how it all works out!

You will be fine, I had a new engine built for my mark 2 escort, ran it in for 500 miles faultlessly, within 9 miles on a rally it was scrap! I cried a lot!

What oil have you put in the engine to run it in?, just remember no more than 2/3 revs and only Half throttle ish for the first few hundred miles and dont let it labour.

Re: Wanted: Illumination switch
put in 15w40 mineral to run it in.. gonna do about 300 miles on that, change oil for same or 10w40 semi syn, and change it at 1000 miles for 10w40 castrol magnatec or similar

Re: Wanted: Illumination switch
use the full mineral for now then after run a semi synthetic 15-50
personally i do
start it change the oil
go for a 1 mile drive change the oil
if all is good change it again then drive for 500 miles and change it again running in is strange dont be scard to give it a little but not too much the first 50 miles are very important to bed in the rings hit up some small hills dont be afraid of revs its load you want to watch out for and dont sit on the motorway by anymeans just fill her up and go driving every night you will have it run in by next week
