Can I just disconect the feed pipes and block them ?
I have just bought a Swift GTI so was planning using the rack from that.

u need a rack from a 1600 swift salon as gti wont go straight on they are very rare though

anything can be modded and with the amount of work you have already done i can see it being a major prob i think the splines are different though andy is the guru on this topic

i was gonna do the same thing but cant remember what the stopping factor was i think it might be the lengh of the swift splines due to were the rack sits or the swift rack doest actually fit on a jusy ?? my mind is a boggle were is andy lol

I use the one from the 1600AWD Swift.

You can use the GTi steering rack. The S'rack spline coming out is longer on the GTi as the steering rack sits lower on the firewall than the AWD (its about 1" longer). You have to use the bottom bit of the GTi column to make it work. Its spline is thicker and shorter.

If swapping the column completely 'depending on year of Justy', you may need to weld the 2 main bolts that hold it up. The newer MK4 Justy's have wider studs so it won't bolt up.

I did this to my car and at the same time lowered it 20mm to the column angle correct for the new seating position.

Also Allen, I have the new batch of Wilwood brake adaptors getting made, ETA should be about Tuesday and your strutbraces are ready to go...
